STOLEN Defender 90 County

This was stolen from my driveway this evening between 5.30-6pm

It didn't have a steering wheel fitted so unless they came very prepared then it may have been trailored away, another car was blocking it in but the window was smashed on this and pushed out the way.

it was advertised on ebay, someone arranged to view it and by the time i got home from work it was gone! this seems a common thing to happen so maybe someone could give me details of where theirs were recovered from?

Mate I am very sorry for your loss I really hope you get it back. I am only down the road and have noticed a lot of suspicious activity around my way which I have posted.

Trying to figure out where you are by the photos, surely that's been taken on a flat bed.

Would a lorry have blocked the road when loading ? It must have taken a good five mins to load.

Sounds like it is now unsafe to sell defenders privately, so if you want to get rid of yours then make sure insurance is good, you have plenty of recent photos and hope it gets stolen. Thinking of selling mine, but can't risk advertising it after this thread.

The only way to sell privately is too meet somewhere other than your home address, and do not give away the location no matter how genuine they sound, its sad that it has come to this..

either that or kit the car out with a tracker and make it undriveable when advertised, i.e leave it with 0 fuel, remove pump relay, steering wheel etc

Contact ebay as they should get you the details of whoever it was coming to view. Fingers crossed they were not a brand new ebayer and have some feedback as then ebay should have some details, linked to a PayPal account etc.

Why is it still advertised on e-bay with no indication it has been nicked?
