Hi,

Had my Black 1989 110 reg WXI 7145 stolen from a Land Rover Specialist in Honiton Devon on wednesday 17th of August. The garage picked it up from my work near oxford at 3pm. someone broke into their secure yard during the night and nicked my Landy. Very gutted really as it took me months to find it. It leaks badly, the paint works not great in places and the door skins could be better BUT ITS MY LANDY and id like it back! So if any one has seen it or sees it weather in Devon or anywhere in the country please let me know. The VIN number is SALLDHMB7FA359791 on a Brand New Galvinised chassis. Ive only owned it less than 6 months!

The problem with older vehicles (and even some newer ones) is that it only takes a couple of wires to bypass any immobiliser. A mechanical device can often be a better bet on a vehicle that needs very few electrical circuits to make it run. Unfortunately hindsight is a wonderfull thing.

I hope it turns back up.

UPDATE.

Landie still missing and still not recovered. Garages Insurance company will only offer max of £8300 I paid £10355. I ve considered contacting Ombidsman to see if they can help but had enought of insurance companies dicking me around and dragging it out. All I want is my Landie back!

You really should go down the ombudsman route for £2k mate. Sure that garage will help you out with estimates..
