I have a L322 2007 TDV8 Diesel. I keep getting ENGINE SYSTEM FAULT message on first start each morning. The message goes off after 10 seconds ish. I take it back to independent LR specialist who see a TURBO message on diags. They clear the fault but it comes back. They advise could be sticky Turbo. Just been serviced and Turbo "veins" treatment applied. car done 107k miles. When driving there is a lack of power (more in morning) need to put foot down to get Turbos to kick in. I run on Premium Diesel only.
Anything I can do to help / fix this ?

many thanks, sounds possible, as no smoke (Turbo hoses replaced recently) - will try looking at actuator / may need garage to check these as they sound hard to get too.

Easier on an L322 than on a Sport that's body off job to change the turbo`s unless you know the secrets .

Check your turbo hoses again. Did the problem arise after they were replaced? An induction air leak will throw turbo fault. This happened to me, so I know. Check hoses and clamps and have a buddy give it some stick while you monitor the engine for hissing air leaks.

Hi have a 2007 TDV8 with 128k, when you notice a lack of power, do you see any smoke from either left or right exhaust? I had something similar, lowish power on cold mornings with smoke from left hand side. Had no warnings or messages.
This ended last September in a huge cloud of smoke when the left turbo catastrophically failed, with the entire sump contents dumped into the intercooler/inlet. Luckily no engine damage occurred and I stopped immediately. Just had 2 remanufactured turbos fitted at an independent RR garage. They lowered the front subframe with gearbox to change them, together with new oil feed pipes (needed for turbo warranty) and skimmed exhaust manifolds.

It is amazing with the design that a part such as a turbo that has a life of 100-150k miles is such pain to access, I guess it is the 3.6TDV8 came from Jaguar and was not designed to go into the Range Rover.
