Sticky buyer, tyre fitment & mpg guides?

I've not been on LZ very long but whilst poking about in the forums I've seen a lot of posts from long-term members moaning on about noobs asking 'stupid' questions. Personally I think they're being tossers and they should think back to when they didn't know that particular bit of information BUT, for their sake, and so that newcomers (new to Landrovers I mean) don't get put off asking basic questions - would it not be an idea to have some sticky buyers guides, tyre fitment and mpg guides right at the top of the list? Perhaps the aforementioned moaning 'experts' could get their heads out their arses and do something constructive by writing them maybe...? :D

Maybe no one gives a **** about what you think. :confused: :D

Your not the first to throw their toys out the pram about how LZ is. It isn't going to change. move on.

If you and any other new member did the work for a change instead of us having to wipe your arse and provide the same answer day in day out then you might get a reasonable response(just like my opening sentence :d ) contrary to what you might think most don't come on here to answer the same question day in day out. I quite like reading about rights of way and looking at peoples days out, reading build threads and taking the **** in anything goes.

If your so desperate to be moses and guide everyone across the great abyss that is junior to senior then why don't you search the forum and write a post, then ask a mod to make it a sticky.

I guarantee you, no noob will read it, they will still post stupid questions in the wrong sections. :lol:

when you've been on here for a while you will, i guarantee it, get fed up of seeing the same questions asked time and again.
especially when you discover the way to search for past excellent answers and advice, that really doesn't need repeating everytime someone new joins the forum :)

Ah, my answer was in the last sentence - fair enough if that's what you reckon I just thought some new sections might save you the upset of 'noobs' not searching before posting, because they'd get straight to the info they're most likely to ask.

it never bothers me ,by default there are only a limited number of questions ,you could just post rave up and close the forum

in a similar vain, we could do the same with the other threads and post up the daily fail ;)

we just cover the same old ground "ad infinitum" that's not progressive.

news is the news and its often similarly repeated ,perhaps through lack of learning from history, so discussion might well be helpful eventually , you could of course not read any threads you find irritating
