Hello all,
Can anyone help ?
I want to buy a 1990-95 defender 90 and convet to V8 from a RangeRover complete with axles (wider I know) and running gear - what is the most compatible RangeRover to use and what problems will require fixing - props etc ?

any classic rr but preferably 92 on ,its only the front radius arms to axle brackets that are wider so you just use the donor radius arms too, normally v8s in landies fit forward like 300 tdi so if you want to use just std parts youd be best doing in the same and using rrc front prop and changing your floor plates tunnel etc to 300 tdi style

there are several ways of fitting a v8 you just need to decide which you prefer

Does the whole running gear from the RangeRover bolt straight into the Defender with just the mods to the floor being required ?

if its auto, if its manual gear stick is in the wrong place and youd need an adapter from ashcrofts to fit your old gear box lever housing
