I have a 95 Series 1 Discovery V8 Japanese import, am in the middle of swapping head units as the radio frequency range is wrong for the uk, have bought an alpine head unit which also has Ipod connection & control, when connected either on radio, cd, or ipod i get interferance / feedback through the speakers, i have spoken with a local stereo specialist & he thinks its to do with the amp feedback & connection differences on the new head unit, he advises on a connector box to go in line & connect the speaker wires which apparently rectifies this problem, but i can't seem to find if this is true & where i can obtain such item as he can not supply them
any help / advice would be greatly appreciated as i am running out of hair to pull

Thanks in advance

Chris

Get yourself to a local boy racer fitter. They usually seem to know whats up and think your are a pikey and charge you nuffink! All my power went on mine and 20 mins and new power feed from ignition cost £20.

They will also tell you if you got a bad earth or knacked suppressor (i might be wrong on that though).

Any back street auto electrician will have done a million discos so try there as well.
