steering wheel

hi guys my steering wheel when I turn the engine off lifts and retracts. my mate who also has a l322 only lifts when he removes his key and he would like it to retract also. gone through the seat memory sequence but no joy any one know how to set this please

That worms prob only need greasing , it doesn't take much to stop them working, take the shroud off ( 3 torx screws underneath ) and you can see them

its not stuck it moves in and out by the lever but it doesn't automaticaly

I see , it could have been disabled by diagnostics, if you know anyone with all coms they can check and re enable it if its off

Either as Paul says it has been disabled (mine has considering the system is so fragile and breaks at the drop of a hat, I disabled mine to prevent excessive movement), or the current set position doesn't mean it has to move in both directions to move into the park position....try moving the wheel to a position it will have to move fully to park....
