Can anyone shed some light on a wiring harness I have in my Freelander1 td4ES of 2003.
I’ve just become the latest owner of this old girl and loving it.....but an issue has raised it’s head.
When I bought it, an aftermarket stereo was in place which was ok, until I spotted the cd multichanger under the drivers seat but didn’t function. I found out the current cd radio fitted didn’t have the changer facility so out came my old Kenwood system head unit and also the 10cd changer and all was well, but still no function on the steering wheel. Trip to Halfords and they sourced me a Connects2 interface and patch lead.
All wired in......still no worky.
Back to Halfords, they check my wiring, all is correct but the pinky coloured socket is not a perfect fit in the interface connector. They are at a loss and can’t quite figure what the car harness is from. They are saying they think it is Rover 75, not BMW, not Land Rover. What say the knowledgeable folk on the forum.
Any assistance gratefully appreciated.
