Freelander 1 steering wheel buttons audio cable

My son has asked me to find him a lead for his steering wheel controls for his 2005 1.8 I can find them for a td4 but not his . Am I right in thinking they would be both the same ?

no it is bog standard he took the old radio out and fitted a sony one in with Bluetooth, mine had a long grey plug that I needed to get a cable for when I did mine I would have thought with his being just a year older it would be the same .The best thing to do would be to remove his sony and have a look but he is always either at work or uni

If it has wheel buttons, then the wires for them will be there.
