Here we go when will it ever stop ?

Was doing a bit of foward and Reverse parking , knock knock when turning steering wheel.I knew Exactly where to look the uj's i gave the steering rod a wiggle can feel movement , iv checked two sellers so far, island do a complete top and bottom uj including rod £70 and British parts want £40 just for the bottom one grr greedy , haven't looked through rave yet I can see there are Allen key stub locking screws . Has any body had to do one yet? If so is it the type where you can undo both ends and have enough play to Either slide it up or down to slip uj's of splines ??naughty me should of said 1999 dse but I think there all the same

Look at RAVE, follow the instructions to the letter. Or you will have problems. It just slides off when bolts are removed.

Yep done this job, agree with wammers - rave has the correct procedure; to add, the upper uj lock nut near the brake modulator is very tight to get on from the engine bay - if you remove the drivers front wheelarch cover all will become apparent and and extension bar works wonders. Steering intermediate shaft did no come off very easily though.

Thanks fourth , i have Lowered the steering wheel position and its gone now so I guess it's not to bad at the moment so im going to put it off for now untill I start to feel some play as I really can't be arsed and I'd rather do it when the weather warms up again if it will last that long but thanks for the heads up :)
