Hello all. I recently had the notorious ride height/HDC/ABS fault.
On replacing the steering sensor the garage discovered that the plastic insert bush had a tooth broken.
It appears that this part does not exist on any parts catalogue either from Land Rover or BMW,
Does anyone know if someone makes a replacement part? seems when you buy any steering sensor it does not come with this as its not a listed part and as far as I can see not in any parts catalogue.

Well finally good news, another steering sensor fitted and car started, no failure lights and all is working, its been nearly a year of garage visits and abs cable changing etc but now very pleased to get back to normal,
something to note... when buying abs cables as a set or any i found that the full set of 4 cables were all the same length, not so the rear are longer, also i found that the cables resistance was not correct so the rear left abs was displaying speedo at double real speed, this had the effect of restricting the engine at 250km hour which was on gps speed 119 kmh.
So in summery, good car battery, good abs cables and a good steering sensor.
