steering play

hi anyone no or helphave alot of play in steering about 8-10 inches travel on right lock is a bit scary above 50 mph when she tends to drift to the right not funny when roads are tight and artics a commin other way would it be the ball joint thingy and can it be adjusted or is a quick replacement any help welcome regards colin does anyone no whats happend to the galleries cant seem to view pics

Steering box sounds shot, change it ASAP

Last MOT on mine,it passed but they advised me that there was wear in the ball joints both ends of the drag link.Gonna be looking at this soon...my symptoms are similar to yours.mucky`un.

If its not any of the ball joints I would advise what John said and get the steering box checked out.
