So I’ve been trying to refit the steering guard to the Landy this morning after many years of it gathering dust in the back of the garage. It used to fit just fine, however I now seem to be having clearance issues since lifting the suspension by a few inches. The guard is fouling on the steering arm drag link well before I can even get the rear bolt holes close to lining up. Has any one else had similar issues or have I lost some brackets possibly?

I have not come across this before, and I ran mine with a 4" lift for a while. But unfortunately it looks as if that is down to the design of the steering guard. There are no missing brackets as far as I can tell..

The steering link and damper should be running just clear of the steering guard with standard suspension. With an extreme lift, they will foul the guard.
If you really want to keep the lift, you may have to trim the bottom edge of the guard back with an angle grinder.

Cheers all, it’s only a 3” lift. I’m going to get some brackets made up to drop the back end of the guard down a couple of inches to give me the required clearance!
New bump stops will fix that:D
they are sitting in the garage, probably should get round to fitting them at some point

I must have just got lucky with my steering guard, all the different makes are slightly different
