Hiya all, I'm after a steering guard, winch mount or winch bumper and rocksliders for a 1989 Defender.

Must be cheap, still straight (ish), cheap, and close to Doncaster or LZ courierable, or to be collected from the 10th anniversary do, or others, maybe.

Must be cheap. I don't mind having to modify to a small extent, but I have a Discovery steeering guard and it'll take too much effort to make useable, for instance.

Also willing (preferable) to swap, I have all sorts of stuff for a Disco, including HD standard height spring set +2" spring set, various standard dampers, some brand new, some only a couple of months old etc etc

I am taking my winch bumper off, it has been bent a bit on passenger side and prob could do with a patch welded on where it has started to rust but still very usable as is, free to a good home if interested? P.s you will need to remove it from vehicle tho!

Very interested.

Won't be able to come for it for a couple of weeks though, thanks.

What you done with your disco paul.u selling your detachable towbar and bits off that may buy som biys off you if you are

Still not sure.

Current thinking is to keep it and the Defender.

The Disco is perfectly sound chassis wise and pretty good body wise, so we're gonna strip the motor and gearboxes out to rebuilod and get them going, completely strip the wiring etc from the Disco and rebuild everything as a Trialler, trayback maybe, dunno yet .. ;)

No probs I will try get a few pics and pm you them tomoz

If you are going down to Neils workshop, one of us could take it up to the lakes next weekend for Paul.

Or why not put yourself down for Drivels trip and deliver it yourself :D:D:D

That would be tremendous if someone could, a round of beers on me if anyone can and does!

Our lass might even bake a cake or two or biscuits or 'Old School' Chocolate crunch/concrete anyone? ;)

No problem Paul, I will be down at Neils sometime over the weekend. I will put it in the back of mine and bring it to the lakes
