Steering Damper Swap

I have just changed the standard damper on my Disco 1 for a De-Carbon one. The job was easy enough with no dramas but when I took it for a test drive the steering wheel is a tad off centre. Not by much but enough to notice. Whats gone wrong?

Fitting a non-standard damper may be, but the wheel position can be altered by adjusting the drag link.
