A couple of weeks back I got my heater core (part no STC3135) ripped out whilst searching for a coolant leak.

The intention was to replace it with a Britpart one but that refused to connect to the pipes so I ended up with no heater (and less leaks).

Now, the Britpart one came with no O rings or any 'sponge' to secure it in place. Because it did not work it went back so I'm in the market looking for a replacement.

I can get another Britpart one for just under £40 and a genuine one for £100+VAT

Should the Britpart one come with new rings etc? Is the Britpart part a good replacement?
Is there a better after market alternative or is this one of those things that should just be genuine?

Cheers

Britpart supply Land Rover and some LR items are sold over the parts dept counter in Britpart boxes. At the moment I use Allmakes Premium Brand but then i've only had to by a couple items from them.
Is there not an optional installation kit that includes the bits you require, Rimmer bros show one or it look like it to me. :)
