starting trouble

Hi guys have a p38 1995 4.0 v8 was running well parked it earlier on and now it wont start, turning over alright but wont fire up, any ideas

could it be fuel pump related

To check for fuel pressure is a bit iffy....

Disconnect battery - then using a Rag to protect from spray as the pressure could be up to 2.5bar (about 35-40psi) carefully crack open a union on the fuel railand see if you get fuel spray...

Do it up again, and clean the work area wait 30 minutes then reconnect the battery....

This is the offical way todepressurise the fuel system according to RAVE..!!

Can you hear the pump running - usualy trick is to open the filler cap and listen, or get under the car and listen to the tank!!

How old is the fuel filter? Can you (or someone else) hear the fuel pump running when your key is in the "on" position? The pump should make an audible whirring noise.
