got issues with the freelander 1 td4..... we had some warm start issues... wouldn't start (but cranked) if run and left for a short while. started ok from cold. then it just wouldn't start at all cold or not. starter motor then became an issue (probs due to all the cranking). I replaced the starter yesterday and she will crank but would only start with easy start. left her to run for 20 mins or so and she started no problem. This morning tried from cold for the first time and she is just cranking. I can hear the pump priming inside the engine bay passenger side. but seems to hum away for ages it that correct? I have changed the cam shaft sensor, started motor and battery. also when she is running she runs fine. where should I start looking next?
I know my way round petrol engines but diesel it fairly new to me. so any help would be great.
