My series 3 wont start! I have changed the solenoid, charged battery ( 70ah @630amps) checked earth connection on battery, starter motor. Just clicks rapidly and won't turn over. Any ideas? Tim

You say you've checked earth at battery but have you checked the earth from battery to chassis and chassis to bellhousing?
The easiest way to rule out a poor earth is connect a jump lead from battery -ve to engine block.

Just because you have charged it does not mean the batt is good.You could put a volt meter on it,12v or above ok. Or take it to a garage and have it load tested, most have a load meter.

Try belting the starter motor with something heavy.
