Hi Guys

A coulpe of months ago the starter on my td4 was clicking so i cleaned off the small terminal and all connections to the starter and all was well today it has started to click again up to 6 times before it starts when it clicks the clock light goes out and the brake lights but the dashboard warning lights and the headlights stay on and bright is it starter motor brushes or the battery ?

Thanks in advance

no problem mate glad we can sort the problem out. just one thing when you re assemble the starter make sure the black plastic steady is located in the slot it stops the spade from moving, or it will snap when you nip the contact up. its on the contact that you connect to the earth lead. easy to miss.
