hi my starter motor has gone on my disco auto x reg is this a job i could do or is it best left to a garage.had a couple of quotes about £250 mark.if anyone has any tips that would be great .thanks.

tis quite easy as long as you have a long enough socket set.

Just disconnect battery. disconnect wires to it then 3 bolts. Then tek out and slide new one in rebolt and wire it up

Should be as long as the starter hasn't been updated with a newer model
