Are the early type starter motors different from the later ones I have a 1995 p38 2.5 and need to replace the starter motor

All the same ERR5445. However i would not recommend going for a genuine Land rover one, it will cost more than the car is worth. Where do they get their prices from?

It's mind boggling that LR are trying to flog them for £900. Do they have diamond bearings and platinum coils?
