Hi. 1988 Diesel Landy 90. Not had long. Problem with the starter motor a few weeks ago because it was occasionally making a sort of whirring sound instead of turning the engine over. Tried a hammer, that sorted it. Then it happened again a few days later but, in the end, started. Kept happening so I bought a replacement one from a scrappy. That was fine for a month and then started happening again. Now it won`t start at all, just makes this faint whirring sound. I`ve even tried putting the other one back but that`s just the same. Is it co-incidence that 2 starter motors are doing the same thing? It couldn`t be something wrong with the flywheel could it?
