Wondered if anyone has any ideas about this problem with my 01' Disco TD5.
Every few months I open car using remote button on original key fob, insert key in barrell to start but the key won't turn, I therefore cannot start the engine. the fix that usually works is open bonnet, disconnect battery for several seconds, close bonnet and key usually turns and starts the engine straight away. Also waiting 10mins seems to work sometimes.
It would appear to be an electronic/security/immobiliser related problem, wondered if anyone has any ideas or suggestion as to the root cause of this problem?
