standard? xs?

hello people HELP im depereate for a discovery but of course doing my homework on whats best for me.

At the moment there's to close to me at good prices a 1997 300tdi xs 5dr and a standard same details. My question is will they both be ok for a little fun off road and does anyone no what the fuel delivery is on the XS,

They are both identical. The XS will have extra trim, Air con heated seats etc things like that. The base is the same, same engines etc and both will do exactly the same job off road. Fuel delivery is the same on both engines as They're both diesels?
