Are you still on about selling it James?
Yes, I will be when all of the work is done. I can't justify only using it a handful of days a year and leaving it outside ruining all the work I did, kind of want a fun weekend car now.

Though Sarah has mentioned wanting a 110 double cab so I may do one of those in the future if I find a good TD5 project.

Is it really worth spending money on new parts when you're not going to get it back? Even complete sheds sell James and all you are doing is chinking away at your profits, fitting a two hundred quid steering wheel doesn't add two hundred quid to its value and having a slightly scabby steering wheel doesn't subtract two hundred quid from your selling price. As you're not going to get back what you've spent on it why keep chucking more money at it?

Mostly because I had no interest at all in it when I tried to sell, I realise I may have been a little ambitious with the price, but I would have thought I might have at least had one phone call....

I reckon I would only get £6-7k for it at the moment, but if I spend a bit in getting it more in order then I'll get back what I spend and feel better for having finished the project rather than selling it half finished.

Plus I didn't go for quite such an expensive steering wheel in the end!

let me know what you think of the carpet sets mate
been looking at fitting one to mine
I had a quote to get the front trimmed but they wanted £650+

I actually cancelled my order as the wait was a month from Exmoor and they annoyed me by not telling me until I had ordered! Also, Marmaduke had a point and I don't think nice carpet will help me sell a utility vehicle any easier!

Steering wheel just got delivered, pretty chuffed with it actually

Finishing off the last few interior jobs while the weather sucks, what are people's thoughts on standard vs. aftermarket steering wheels?

I was all for a 14" momo one but now I'm thinking that it might be a bit small and ruin the whole land rover experience. Thoughts?

Also, how can they charge £50 for this when a brand new one is 70?!

Momo Quark looks brilliant and more legroom I love mine and feels lovely to drive. It'll be a positive change. Go for it.
