Hi Guys,

just received an order i placed with A2Stainless. I bought replacement Stainless Bolts for the whole of the outside of my 2006 110 CSW, which was beginning to look a little tired, with all those rusty heads showing!

Just thought I'd let you know that Mark Pinkney (owner) is a top fella. Really polite, just helped me out with my order, even though I accidentally ordered the wrong bolts.

Most of his bolts come in small packs, so you can buy only what you need.
They are avilable in hex or torx (some are available in tpx). They arrived in labelled bags making fitting much easier.

Anyway, I've received my order and am about to fit them all. Old bolts will be going on ebay in a job lot, for somebody buiilding a 110.

Before fitting I've measured every new bolt, and made a list of every one and it's size. If anyone needs to know the dimensions of any bolts, please let me know.

I'm not planning to post the list in total, as it would encourage peeps not to use A2, which is a small business anyway. PLus its not as if he's riping people off, and the quality is excellent.

I paid about £160 for bolts for the following:
All 5 doors
Bonnet
All Light Lenses
Rear bulkhead to chassis
Rear bulkhead to cab
Dixon Bate drop hitch ( I know- you should only use High Tensile!)
Wingtop Chequerplate
Snorkel inlet from rhs wing
Genuine Expedition Roof Rack

These were more expensive as they were all Tx bolts, but they are a tiny bit more secure than standard, and look a lot neater, plus they dont seem get torn up as much , like some hex bolts do - they will take more torque without rounding.

Anyway, I'm not affiliated at all, but he seems like a decent fella, and has offered everyone on this forum 10% off - I missed out on discount, so you all owe me a bolt or two!:)

Nice one Mike

I was actually browsing their website last night and planning to place an order soon. And the discount is a nice touch.

As a thankyou, when I swap them over I will send you a couple of my rusty bolts!

for £160 i assume he came and fitted them, put the vac round, took the dog for a walk and cooked you a 3 course dinner ?

and as for fitting SS bolts on a towplate ........

Just finished fitting them... Cant beleive the state some of the bolts were in, especially the Chassis - crossmember bolts. The car is a 2006 110, I had to grind two off, and the other two sheared cos i was usin a massive bar. Doesnt really bode well for the future. Some of the paint is startin to bubble too.
Anybody know if Land Rovers Bodywork corrosion warranty goes as low as defenders. Had it on my Rangie, but they were picky bastards when it came to a claim..

Explain that remark.

I know they cover RR Sport, RR, and Discovery 3, as they are "premium road models"
Given the fact that the vast majority of defenders are going to be used off road a lot more than the other 3 models, will they still give a 5 year or 10 year, or whatever warranty it is?
I'd be surprised, as they know that these models will eventually corrode anyway, especially afround the rivet / steel hardware.
