SRS warning light

First the good news; my 2nd replacement head gasket is still ok and the holes I drilled in what I thought was a hand washing basin in the back seem to have worked. Now the bad news; another little problem to puzzle over. The SRS light has decided to have a life of its own. It stays on sometimes and on othertimes it doesn't. The handbook isn't very helpful. Is there anyone out there who is?
This is on a 1999 purple freelander 1.8 ...
What components do LR suggest are replaced after 10 years. Is this liable to be a early failure warning?

same thing happened to me on my little mg zr.
turned out to be the connection wires under the front seats,my kids must have pulled the wires with thair feet .

I am having the same problem with my 2002 freelander.

Titch what is it i need to check under the seats? Mines a commercial (so no feet getting under there).

no i dint - it was a v6 - almost as bad tho

Many thanks. I will check when I get the car back from the garage following a nasty graunching noise from the rear of the vehicle...

Mine did the same thing. Landrover reset the srs ecu this lasted one day, ended getting a new ecu £300 inc fitting.
