Hi,
Took my car to a local pay and play centre yesterday and stopped just shy of totally submerging her!
My mate behind me towed me back but the front of the car had been under water for a few minutes, and even after a dry out and some more driving the SRS light now doesn't extinguish after starting up. It's on constantly.
Everything feels fine, and I've searched and read other threads saying that "once it's been on once it'll stay on until a diagnostic fault clear" but I'm wondering if my fault could actually be a FAULT - maybe I've killed the airbag sensor up front or something?
It's sitting outside now with the battery disconnected for an hour or so to clear the memory to see if that helps, and I've also checked both yellow plugs under the seats which are fine and didn't see any impacts or water damage yesterday.
Any other ideas? Any other plugs/contacts which I could open and clean up? The water was a couple of inches deep in the very front of the driver footwell before I was dragged out if that helps give an idea of what components could have been affected!
Thanks very much in advance - the rest of the day was awesome btw and the car certainly held it's own! Maybe just need to invest in a snorkel...!
