Hey folks, got a new tubular bumper and winch and it was only when i tried to fit it that I noticed the chassis has bowed out slightly.

I think my steering gaurd has taken a big impact at some point and pushed the lower part of the chassis upwards.

Anybody any

i cut that bottom part of the chassis off of mine as it was rotton but them bits with the bend in them were the same on mine

They're supposed to be slightly bowed so that you can get your bumper to sit into the chassis properly. If you have a good look, all new chassis are the same, whether they're made by Land Rover, Marslands or Richards Chassis.

Thanks folks! It is a richards galv chassis so that does explain it but my new bumper has lugs that wont slide over the bows. i guess some brute force is required!:D
