Hi Everyone!

I have a 2006 Freelander1 TD4, recently had rear brakes serviced and ever since there has been a really annoying squeak coming from below the actual handbrake. If I pull it up a bit it pretty much stops, but driving along holding it up isn't always ideal!

We've had the wheel and drum back off, and adjusted from inside, but nothing seems to stop it, anyone had this issue before?

Thanks in advance for any advice!

So the squeak is coming from inside cabin (under the center console) rather than at the wheels?

Was the adjuster under the console touched when 'servicing' the brakes?

Yes sound only audible in the cabin.
Adjuster was touched as new cables were fitted, and we've tried readjusting today but has no effect on the noise.
