Just a quickie, i wouldnt mind getting some better performance springs and shocks, maybe supergaz ones, anyway thats not important...

I wanna know, i'd wanna do this at home, how on earth would i do that?
Would i change the spring first, then put a block between the axle and chassis and then unbolt and change the shock?

Or, as per, is it ALOT more complicated than that?

Cheers, bex and tom

Easiest way is to jack it up and put axle stands under the chassis rails. and relocate the trolley jack under the diff. undo suspension top nut . Then lower axle, springs will come out without needing a spring compressor. to refit use jack to lift axle.

As the man says ....and it is a lot EASIER than almost any other coil-spring car, but the axle is heavy, so to do it safely (or at all) you will need axle-stands and a trolley jack.

Take great care not to rip your brake hoses apart as you lower the axle. Great plan is to buy two new long ones BEFORE you start ..... when a hose shreds because the jack slips you will feel really smart if you bought the new hoses first!
