I desperately need new springs for my Ser III 88. There seem to be several suggests of which not to buy, where not to buy them from. Can anyone recommend good ones.
I don't want parabolics.

Thanks, not far from Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch!
At present I am looking for something new with some kind of warrentee, but I'll bear you in mind if I all I can find are B******t.
Do you really live in Llanfair, perhaps I used to deliver LR parts to you in an earlier life.

Thanks, we used to use British Springs, but I had no idea who supplied them

Thanks for all the advise.
I went to my local independent (Landranger Cymru) and they deal with British Springs, so I've gone for them. The jobs being done at the moment (I'm getting too old for lying under LRs, especially in the winter!)
I'll let you know in a year what they are like, or hopefully in ten years!

Latest update, I now have the motor back and it has had its first off road trip with the new springs, a trial. I did disastrously but I put that down a bit to engine problems, a bit to unsuitable tyres, but mainly to driver ineptitude. I hope I improve as I get back into practise. The springs behave perfectly though, it even became apparent that I had subconsciously adjusted my driving to allow for knackered springs.

Sorry for the delay in responding, very bad mannered of me, and on a site as well mannered and polite as this one.
I agree, phone hi, up and the part arrives, at home, at work, at The place fixing your motor, wherever you want it. It's all very well trawling 'internet and saving a few quid, but if you use your local independent you can talk to him, for advice, and if there are problems (never have been with Steve) they're a lot easier to sort out. I still miss John at Rhyl Tyre though.
I'm about halfway between you and Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch

fit 11 leaf hd springs to the front and paddocks blue parabolics to the rear, or britpart green,
it works and is good on the road.
good if you carry heavy loads regularly
