springs

hi all, i have got some supposidly 2 inch lift springs which i got durt cheap (20 quid) and i have no idea if they are heavy duty or make or even if they are 2 inch springs,

so is there any way to find out?? for example. if i messure them as they are sat on my work bench, what size wuld i be looking for them to be? or should there be a serial number on them?

if someone know of a way to find out what they are it would be great,

what collour are they?? if yellow prob britpart if light blue, prob bearmach. If Black with a coloured stripe painted on then usually OEM or genuine.

As to length. Google "discovery Spring Length"

I have my rear +2s off the motor at the moment if you want me to measure them when i get home later. Think they are Britpart ones as they are yellow (in places lol)
