Hi,

Just a thought...
What is more stable:
The discovery that has a two inch suspension lift or the p38 changed to springs at standard ride height?
Both vehicles would have been changed from their factory settings.

Mike.

depends on spring ,shocker ie gas ,and ace which helps keep car upright ,which is why disco corners better than p38

Come on James, that has to be a joke. I have had two Discos and neither of them were as good on corners as my P38, not by a bloody long way.

Well,

I would imagine the road hold would be about the same.
I towed a caravan with a disco on many occasions that had a 2" lift and soft springs, it was not too bad to handle so long as you were a careful driver.
Remembering this, i bet its easier to drive a p38 that's had coil spring conversion.
With the differing ride height of a p38 when the suspension is playing up (changes height when it feels like it) there is probably more chance of having an accident because the handling of the vehicle will vary drastically when cornering even at low speeds.

Don't get me wrong, I like the air suspension believe it or not but the thought of having to spend many hours just to keep it in a reasonable condition so that it does the job it was designed for proves it was a bad idea.

There again what do i know.....lol

You can imagine as much as you want, but a P38 on coils still remains easier to roll over than one with EAS. I have had two Discos on coils and the handling and cornering ability of the P38 on air is a quantum leap better than either of them.
