Doing my head in now!

Ive emailed the seller, and they have said these will fit my 1986 110;
Land Rover Defender 110 7 seater front + rear suspension springs set Genuine TDC | eBay

But the colour codes don't match this;
PART

Your thoughts please?

they fit.

lr changed the springs over the years.

made them progressive, softer for csw, then added helper springs as they bottomed out on full loads, etc etc etc

so technically they fit.. are they ideal... prolly not

Trax, why would you say they are probably not ideal?

this is from me researching suspension a lil while ago. lr kept adjusting the springs over the years to fix issues.

my inets sketchy so i can't confirm the numbers. but iirc, the spring above was brought in as a softer spring as they found the previous made the ride hard as hell when empty.

however, it was then found that the spring above didn't cope well with a full load on hts. so they also brought in 130 helper springs.

also they aren't handed anymore where the orig were.

so the op might find that those springs might bottom out on a full load and cause the driver lean.

Oh, OK Trax, got ya.

The progressive springs are supposed to fix that same problem though, ride softer when empty and progressively support the vehicle when weight is added, maintaining a comfortable ride?

Are their any reports on the later progressive springs?

RKB101111. those are the ones i read that were too stiff unladen. should be on td5 2006/7 ht according to

land rover spring specifications , which is useful

apparently they fitted RKB500300 with RRC3266 helper springs on 130s to help.

like i said, i haven't tested all these; it's just stuff i picked up from different forums.

tbh, it's probably all very subjective and how you use your landy.

for the op. they are tri-rated by the looks of it. should be fiiine.

i'm going to grab a set if that helps for my 86 110 with sals drum ;)

Must admit, i'm tempted.

I always thought springs were uniquie to corners, ie, nsf,nsr,osf,osr.

iirc, rear are usually the same, but the front used to be sided to take account of things like battery, driver, fuel tank.

they don't seem to bother too much nowadays, but you can still get the orig sided springs.
