Spring compressors.

Anybody got any links or info on where I can get some spring compressors from?

No need fer em on a fender, even when fitting +2" springs.

ive changed loads of springs and never needed them.

I will be having a go at doing mine next week. The june issue of LRO international had a free video that showed how to change dampers and springs without spring compressors... they look a bit dangerous to me. I know nothing but I am watching and trying to learn.

have just fitted assistor springs on the back of mine without compressors.

Looking at rear coils here.

ive always used them. what do you do instead? confused I am now.

bottle or trolley jack under the axle, jack up as high as possible. axle stand under the chassis then lower the axle as far as possible, without straining the brake flexi.
pry bar or big screwdriver under the bottom of the spring and pop it out.
simples.

refitting is the reverse.

I also needed a help from the Disco bottle jack between the axle and chassis to open it out a bit at the front (still got ARB's on) when I fitted HD springs .. there's some clearance and length on standard brake hoses, but it was close!

Trewy you forgot to say that by dropping off the shocker its even easier.

You crafty set of buggers, certainly gonna give it a go now, cheers all.

I fitted HD springs to the 110 without using compressors. Exactly as Trewy ses!
