I was going to title this 'Query mounting spotlight' but it didn't sound right somehow! Firstly, apologies if this is covered somewhere else, but I couldn't find the answer. I've just bought a Defender 90 County on a T plate. She's been pretty well looked after, and bears an uncanny resemblance to the picture of the Defender in the Landyzone logo. Fitted to the front bumper is an A bar, and spotlights. The spotlights are huge 9 inchers and are bolted directly to the front bumper. They look a bit too low to me and I'd like to move them up, just below the level of the headlights (still inside the A bar of course - just like the logo!). My question is, presumably they will have to be attached in some way to the grille... has anyone done this and what is the best way please? I don't know if there is some sort of mounting kit. Thanks in advance.
Incidentally, this post is probably in the wrong place, but I'll get the hang of this eventually.

firstly mate i would introduce yourself in the correct section before asking for advice on things.
and secondly the grill is only plastic so i would'nt want to hang 2 9" spots off of them, has'nt the A bar got any mounting brackets attached to it.

oh and welcome to LZ :)

Thanks people, your welcome is very welcome! That's what I'm going to have to do then, put them up onto the A bar (I only didn't want to do this because wifey said the Britax logo on the lamps will be upside down - no worries, I can live with that). Your help is much appreciated. No doubt I'll be back for more soon, but short round, I will try my best to get the forum protocols right next time. Cheers all.

I don't know for definate but could you not turn the lamps around 180 degrees so that when hanging them from above the lamp lenses (and the Brittax logo) are then facing the correct way?

I've done this with my Hella's. Most lamp you can do it with, but as you say britax might be different

Thanks guys. Sorry for the late response but I've been working away with iffy internet access. I have managed to find myself a new secondhand bumper, so will be looking to mount the lamps without drilling holes. Appreciate your help.
