sports & drive warning lights

I started the Disco 2 (automatic) tonight & the following warning lights came on & started flashing ..

• green sports mode symbol,
• 'M' in a gear symbol next too the sports mode ( looks similar to sports mode symbol but with the M,
• the d for drive in the LCD panel &
• 2 red LEDs at the base of the automatic gear shift arm.

DOES ANY ONE KNOW WHAT THI MEANS & WHAT SHOULD I DO TO FIX IT ??

It means the on board computer has registered a fault with your gearbox,
so being all clever it is now in limp home mode !

I have had this problem with mine,
switch off the engine remove keys and wait 5 minutes try again.
normally worked for me.

this is not a problem with the gearbox but with the wiring.
eventually solved by removing earth strap from battery to inner wing, remove paint from under strap and reconnect.

Get it sometimes on mine. Like Derek says. Turn the engine off, go and have a cuppa and should be fine then.

with me i did this quite a few times but it did not clear,so went to bed, tried it the next day and to my relief it cleared, i did wonder if it was down to my leaving it in gear when i shut it down, and not giving it time to sort it self out, when i restarted, but with luck it has not returned

same here, seems like a common problem, switch off and leave then all ok
