Hello, I am hoping to retrofit either the 2014 RR Sport/2012 RR Vogue/2011 RR Evoque steering wheel into my 2005-2010 RR Sport - has this been done before?

Are either of these steering wheel/airbags compatible with the 2005-2010 RR Sport L320? I am not bothered about the CD player controls etc working, I would just like to know if any of these steering wheels would physically fit and if the airbag would be functional. I am happy to do some re-wiring if necessary.

I am grateful for any help!

Thank you

@gstuart updated his D3 steering wheel to a D4 , which I suspect means the Sport can do the same. As for the ejoke it's more of a car than 4x4 , so not sure the dimensions would be the same.

Oh and just for me, I take it you meant Range Rover 2012 L322 or very early L405. Vogue is a trim

The splines on the steering shaft might be different..

The connectors for all the accessories on the wheel might also differ.
And that would be a no go..

Can't seem to find any info regarding spline count.

So i'm guessing it would be trial and error..

When I done my D4 steering wheel on my D3 I also had to change the switch circuit boards

Also as mentioned don’t know the spline count between the different steering columns

Think it’s from 2012 the sport went away from the same design as the D3 so would assume the canbus also changed in the same way the D3 and D4 have different software systems

The RRS forum may have the answer

Hi Gary, hope you’re well, that’s the same one as on my sport, think it looks better thar the newer ones TGP wants to fit.
Just my preference

Hi

I’m the same , with preferring the D4 steering wheel over the sport one , didn’t bother with a heated steering wheel as it would have got really expensive seeing the rotary coupling would have also needed replacing

Indeed, Don’t know if it’s going to be possible to fit such a late sport wheel , ie due to the software or splines matching up, know on the D3/D4 use different canbus versions so would assume it’s the same with the later sports ??
