I have a new t-max system on order. I am going to fit a second under bonnet battery and use this to charge it.

I also tow a caravan and want charge that battery as well. Can I do it with the t-max system or do i need to get another cheap split system for that ? Just trying to keep wiring to a minimum.

Don't see why you cant charge as many batteries as you like so long as they're wired in parallel.....best check with someone who knows better than me about extra fusing though

Your t-max will only have the ability to show you the voltage from 2 batteries, your main and aux.

If you wire another battery in it will provide a reading but it wont be accurate. You wont know if one of the series batteries is buggered as the other one will still charge.

You proberly could get the single t-maz system aswell and use that independantly. im not sure your alternator will be able to cope with 3 batteries on the go though.

As beasty said someone who knows more will be along shortly.

Good point on the alternator. Ta. Best wait for best advice.

Use the search button as I used it the other night for exact same thing and it came up with a very detailed guide on wire amp to use correct fuses and relays

I did, "charging three batteries" and similar does not yield the answer. Shame, I thought help was what the forum was about, not for scoring points :behindsofa:

it is mate but alot of noobs can't be bothered or are just to lazy to look for the info themselves hence why peeps get told to use the search button alot. and also they tend to come on with one problem get the answer and then p*ss off without contributing to the site at all.
but your question does'nt come up to often, 2 batterys yes but not many require to charge 3 at the same time. if you still insist on charging 3 then there is a bracket/kit you can get to fit a secondary alternator to help with the work load. its an option but don't know if its what your after bud.

I wasnt being rude in anyway by saying use the search engine

I'll have alook for the thread agin when I get a chance and post it here as no harm intended
