Spill off pipes decided to start leaking.

I used silicon tubing off the bay when I de-EDC's my 300 - fastened on with cable ties.... no leaks 2 years and about 20K miles later:-

They do various colours too - blue D1 gets blue pipes!!
 
Engine out tomorrow, Sainty. I'll update my 300Tdi rebuild thread, hoping some LZ members will be keeping an eye on me ;)

My mum popped off last August...this will be the first Mothers Day without her.....

She was a big Dutch barge woman, grew up on the Barges in Holland...and she was built like a Russian Shotputter....she stood 6'2" and was a good 6' wide too. I am no small person either, but when I was 15 I came home late, I must have weighed in at 15-16 stone then (I played Rugby at school) and she grabbed me by the collar, lifted me off the floor, pinned me against the hallway wall and yelled something unrepeatable in Dutch at me.....I can tell you I was never late home again!

Quite correct, the EDC 300's were tweaked a tad to 'disguise' the losses in the autobox and torque converter.

Yep. Standard Tdi were 111Hp - not enough for the high stall speed ( cheap ) TC used in the (diesel) auto's. EDC upped this to 122 by increasing injection pressures, and increasing the accuracy of the timing of the injection point with needle lift sensor on #4, and a CPS. the weak point is #4 injector, which is NLA - and if you need one - you can only have one made, at about £1K - rest of the system is very reliable.

(as i've said a thousand times ) Mine is tuned to 145 Hp, full width intercooler etc., and I'm very pleased with it. It's also good on fuel for a two tonne brick.
