Ok...Follow me on this one...

I drive a right hand drive landy in denmark...where they obviously drive left hand drives.

I got a automatic fine today for doing 34mph in a 30...bastids...sounds like murder when they say i was 12% over the limit..anyway i digress.

Now as its a right hooker, the photo they sent me has me, the driver blocked out, and a visitor from england as the 'driver' when actually she aint.

From what i understand they block the 'passenger' out due to privacy laws etc..so your wife/husband dont catch you doing the secretary for example...

Now, do i politely say they have fkd up as the vehicle is registered here as a rhd and they should have checked computer before issuing ticket...vague referances to the privacy law etc..

Do i explain its a rhd and ask for a new photo showing the 'real' driver and hope the computer has erased my face?

Do i give them my visitors details and say good luck chasing her...although i'd technically be lying?

Any advice...anybody been done in a left hooker in the UK? Mark
 
Mate i have done all this **** and tried to get out of it and ended up paying double. Depends how lucky you are?
I would just pay and hope that they slip and the money gets stuck up there arse!:D
 
Do you live in Denmark or was it a visit?

Is the car registered in Denmark?

Danish law probably requires you as registered keeper / owner to tell them who was driving just like here.

But you could ask them to clarify the details of the lady in the picture (do NOT say she was driving!) because you cannot be sure on that date and time who was using tre car, sorry about that, and when they come up with a better photo you say "Cripes! That must be my wife's friend who was visiting us but now she's back in UK and it's going to be tricky to track her down ..." but DO NOT TELL FIBS!

Worth a try. They may give up, or they may biff you, but they were going to do that anyway, so nowt to lose.

Write them a letter saying how they have cause distress to your wife as they have sent a photograph of your mistress to your house by error as your car is right hand drive so she was not driving. Under their privacy laws which they have blatently ignored you would like compensation please

You are fooked, just pay up, something about the registered keeper and you must pay or inform them who was driving.

If your licence was on the line you can go the route of obtaining proof of calibration for the camera and so on, but you need a lawyer and thats more than yer fine.
 
Right, i'll try and answer a few of your excellent points.

Both me and all the steering wheel are blocked out

I live in denmark, the car is registered her, AS A RIGHT HAND DRIVE too

I do have to say who was driving...however as its blocked out it s impossible to say (however it WAS me, honest guv, but i'm not admitting that til i see if theyve got a picture of me still!!)

They have broken the civil liberty law by showing the passenger, their fault! Its registered as a rhd on their computers.

I may write a letter saying that the picture shows, and her name and address in uk, WITHOUT saying the word passenger or driver...im not lying...but i aint telling the whole truth....

As the owner i have a duty to say whos driving, but i cant say 100% as the pictures blocked off..as much as id like to help!!
 
Just write back saying that the vehicle is right hand drive, so as the photo doesn't show the driver you can't be sure who was driving it as various members of the family, mates, friends, kids, best mates pet budgie, all have access to the vehicle at any time and you don't keep records. If they can supply a photo of the driver you might be better able to help, otherwise .... ;)
