Speed sensor wiring

Hello all sorry if this has been asked before I do struggle searching on here
Would anyone know which side of the speed sensor is 12v in as my two wires don’t match wiring diagram
It’s 1996 disco 300tdi
Also looking at the sensor the square is good but the disc it’s attached to is all loose is that right or bust.
I’ve just got the disco and found no speedo so checked sensor as above and no 12v to it Where does the other wire on sensor go to as I’m looking at feeding two new wires

Green/yellow wire should be live, black/red output but if your wires are other colours you should get 12V against ground in one of them(with ignition on off course), pin 1

I couldn’t get 12v to ground and fuse checked good so needed your info for running new wire
Would you know where the black and red goes to from sensor and looks like mine has no ecm etc cheers

The black/red goes to instrument cluster C221 pin 2, should be black/red there too

Awesome stuff top man. Would that connection be the black one on top of dash or the left or right white ones
How much play would you say should be in the sensor shaft

I know nothig about the shaft, i edited my post with the location, right side white
