Disco 2 Speaker Replacements!

Hey all,

Hoping someone here can help...I've got the Harman Kardon door speakers, so 2 in each door, however a number of them are failing - just due to age, they're starting to tear. Not a problem, easy enough to replace he says, let's see what's out there!

...are they not standard speaker sizes?? I can't seem to find anything that matches the measurements I took of the speakers, and I exchanged a few emails with a car audio specialist and all they came back with was a list of standard speaker sizes, none of which match the Harman Kardon ones...and no suggestions of what would fit.

Has anyone replaced these already, and so knows what sizes fit? I'm not after super high end, just something decent and reasonably priced; I did think about purchasing some second hand HK ones from eBay, but there's not really any point as they likely won't last much longer anyway.

Hi, using this tool https://www.crutchfield.ca/Car/outfitmycar/mycar.aspx for the 2000 D2 with HK speakers(as mine is) gave me many types, it seems they are 6.5" speakers and the market is full of them e.g. http://www.ebay.co.uk/bhp/6-5-inch-speakers insert your vehicle's data in it and see the size i checked only for front doors

Not seen that site before, seems pretty useful! Okay great, I think I was just thrown off by my measurements of the speakers not matching any standard sizes, but that could just be me not measuring them correctly haha! I'll have to have a hunt around for the upper door speakers/a-pillar tweeters, as I'm not convinced the suggested sizes are right...
