Spark Plugs

I have just called in at Halfords as I was near by, as I am thinking about changing the plugs in our 4.6.

they tell me that you can no longer get RN11YCC, and champion have simplified their range.
The equivalent is now EON6 number 706. at nearly 20 quid for 4.

Do you recon this is a cheeky price hike scam, as Rimmers and JC still list the RN11's for half the price, or could these EON efforts be better?

I shall probably shoot over to JC's though, as its a good excuse for a mooch round!

No one uses Champion plugs anymore,NGK BPR6ES is all you need.I pay 93p each for them plus drat.(I do buy 80 at a time tho.)

Everyone i know that has used champion has had one or two plugs break down after a couple of thousand miles, personally i only use ngk. I think Halfords is having a laugh.

what ever you do dont buy bosh, i went through three sets with it missfirin like fook then changed to ngk tri spark, runs sweet as a nut now

We use Bosch W8DC's they are the small ones with double electrodes and copper core. Not cheap though.
