Hi, Have recently replaced Spark Plugs and set the Gap as per RAVE manual, however after reading recent threads I am a loiitle concerned that they need to be different when running on LPG, Someone mentioned yesterday that if the Gaps are too big then this will put a strain on the ignition system, (what will happen to it?), what will the effect on fuel consumption be? if the gaps are too big, does anyone have any advice on what the setting should be for a P38 Thor v8 on LPG? Thanks in advance.....

Thanks Nathan, This would make sense as the ones that I took out were closer to that than the 0.95- 1.05 that the RAVE Manual suggested....

As they are currently set at 1.00 what do you think the immediate benefits will be when I reset them?

That is excellent ....Thank you very much........much more enlightened as too how my LPG works......

0.7 to 0.8 would be about right for GEMS, and I suspect Thor would be happy with a similar setup.

What brand of plugs are you using, just through interest. Have you opted for the platinum type or standard copper core ones as specified for the GEMS V8?

Im thinkin of replacing me plugs for iridium ones when i get round to servicing the mota, best price ive found is £6 a plug anyone know cheaper? BPR6E-IX
and while im at it where cheapest for magnecor leads?
:)

yeah like leads will make a difference to that skip!!!!

get good leads and buy a box of cheap plugs, change every 3 months works out cheaper, i think you can get plugs at around 20p each!!!

that aint nice, iridium plugs and magnecor leads are proven to be better, the leads come with a lifetime warranty and since im gonna be keeping the skip and im gonna de cat it i thort id invest in these couple of items to improve the wrecks performance
