Can anybody help with a GPS problem. I have just bought a 2002 Discovery and taken it back to Spain. The vehicle is LHD and the VIN tells me it is North American spec. It is fitted with a Becker GPS system, but no disc. It am told by "man in the pub" that I must get the disk from USA as the spec for the system is different and a UK disk for that vehicle will not operate. Dont want to spend a mint and then find out he is right. Can anybody help ?

Thanks for that. Seems I will have to up my IT skills a bit. I am North of Malaga, just south of Torcal. Still getting used to the Disco. After many years hanging out the back of a Landrover in the Army, never thought I would ever want to own one! She is a beauty. Can not believe its 9 years old. Funny history to it. Allegedly been to USA and back, then France, then UK. Only 25K on the clock ? "Man in the pub" (been a mechanic all his life) says its a ringer. Non standard V8 etc. Must have been a clever geezer that rung it. I pulled the unused ash tray out yesterday and it has a sticker showing production date of July 2002.The same month it was registered in UK. Same on the coin tray..they think of everything. What chance have the Police got ! Regards Paul.
