We might as well travel up together. When we have a time off Paul (he has to unlock at work first thing in the morning), we'll plan the meeting places to join up.

Sounds good to me, its around a 3 1/2 hr trip, (theres 2-3 routes to get to the start point but there all around the same estimated time) so we should be looking at meeting for around 0800-0815 and off for 0830?
see what suits others too :)

There's a lot to do on the 1st day so I'd suggest an early a start as Paul can make it. The 1st lane may take a while to complete! Looking forward to that one :)

Yeh whatever the majority vote is, the 0830 set off would give us an eta of 1200 but then again there is another 100 miles to cover!

I'll be going up on the Thursday afternoon as got the time off, won't be such a long Friday for me then lol, Paul do you want me to reccy anything while I'm waiting for you? See you all soon :)

Nice one Tim

the first lane is described in trailwise thusly ...

"We tackled this ford on 3,7,13 from S-N. It was clear that this track is never used as it was completely silted up. Of the 6 cars we had with us we managed to winch one car through in just over two hours. This lane desperately needs to be used just to keep it usable. If it was tackled N-S I think it might be do-able. We used it as part of a Coast to Coast route.
13/07/2013"

It needs a recce ...

The second lane should be OK if the tide's right though ..

"A very slimy tidal ford. Must only be driven in a 4x4"

Heheheh ... ;)

All the other tracks are OK acc. to trailwise, though a couple have warnings on, but nothing like the two above, mostly for scratchy undergrowth and overgrown shrubberies .. :)

We're going North to South, which he thinks is do-able .. 's OK though, I'll go first ..

Seriously, I won't take chances, if I reckon it's not relatively easily done I won't do it .. save it for a more extreme group some time, maybe .. :)

Looked at the 1st campsite web page and it sounds like a realy nice site, local shops and pubs etc look good too, not too far to go for some tea ;)

What no BBQ gas?

To be honest we was just gonna pack the essential camping gear and get or dinners at the local shop the day before and then get our tea at a chippy etc, im taking a small stove for brekys (lou`s porridge) tea/brews but thats about it, we aint got a gas barby :(
