Hey All

New (ish) to the forum, new to landys and never been green laning before!! My little 90 has finally had the cam belt changed and a few other bits, so I thought what better way to treat her than getting her a bit muddy!

Here lies the problem, I don't know where to go, but more importantly i'd like someone there with words of wisdom and a tow rope!

If anyone is local who fancies meeting up, or getting a group together around the Bournemouth area, there's a free pint in it and maybe even a packet of crisps :)

On a side note is anyone a member of Solent & District Land Rover Club? was thinking of joining them as they do some organised events

Nice to see someone near me on here I'm in new milton! There's a few of us but nothing seems to get organised as we are all busy it would appear lol but if you want a mud fix try matchams on a Sunday or a Tuesday night. If you do get something going ill always come along but currently my landy is fooked (technical term). Oh and welcome

Hey mlucas110 & 34064

Glad there are others of us down this way. I think the best thing is to all meet up at Matchams one Sunday and you guys can show me the ropes (and pull me out!!)

Just been told my rear u/j is knackered so that'll take a couple of weeks to fix, so lets aim for a weekend in mid Feb??

Not on my road tyred disco :) done Salisbury plain a few times though and if you need a hand with the prop shaft drop me a pm

do need to do more lanes

I'm happy with a pay & play then a cheeky pint after. So long as I get the paperwork into the other half for a Sunday out, I can do any of them...

Maybe all take a trip up to Sailsbury when its not quite as wet?

I'll be up for coming out too! I'm near Sturminster Newton and know a couple of lanes around these parts, although a lot of them are a wee bit fragile at the mo. Probably best sticking with Matchams until it dries out a bit. Let me know when you're going and if Itchy's up for it I'll be there!

I've been out with the SADLRC a couple of times. Okay bunch but I wasn't too keen with their 'lane-care' (trees pulled down, unsuitable lanes etc) last time out so not sure if I'll be going out with them again.

You can play driving instructor and sit with me if your landy is till fooked by the time we go??

With ScratchyDom in that's 5 of us so lets pencil a date in the diary.....16th Feb??

Salisbury for extreme muddiness and mayhem. If you'd prefer some more relaxed and scenic laning (with views to die for), hop on the Sandbanks ferry and work your way up through the Purbecks into north Dorset - there are some lovely lanes but like I say they're all a bit on the fragile side at the minute.

was a part of the Dorset land rover club but they were mostly about trialing again so long as somebody doesn't mind pulling me out occasionally too as road tyres get a bit cloggy :)
